SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INTERN

Feb 2024-PRESENT

IOS APP DEVELOPER

Dental Tracker

  • Independently designed, developed, and deployed an iOS app using Swift and Firebase for dental tracking. Integrated features include interactive teeth graphs, daily care routines tracking, appointment recording, expenses tracking, trends visualization, secure authentication, and cloud sync.

Amazon Web Service

  • Engineered an API breaking change detector for AWS Swift open source SDK using YAML, Shell, and Swift. Made the tool generic to accommodate different user scenarios across multiple open source libraries, ensuring it is highly flexible, extendable, and easily manageable.

  • Integrated this tool into the CI/CD pipeline to automatically identify breaking changes in public interfaces, generate detailed comments in pull requests, and notify admin reviewers.

ANTI-PLAGIARISM TOOL RESEARCHER & DEVELOPER

Sep 2023-Dec 2023

ANDROID APP DEVELOPER

Rukmini Foundation

  • Developed an Android app for the Rukmini Foundation’s program that empowers girls in Nepal through education.

  • Designed, developed, and deployed an app using Kotlin, XML, and Google Firebase. Builded functionalities including collecting student/school/program information, and adding/editing reports.

CMU CSAcademy

  • Developed and demonstrated prototypes of plagiarism detection tools that analyze 2-second code snapshots to identify potential plagiarism in diverse scenarios, including exercises with extensive starter code and creative tasks. Applied a logistic regression model, detecting about 2% of submissions as plagiarism with 0% false negatives in the test dataset.

  • Conducted experiments with approximately 60 volunteers to collect data and applied various machine learning models to predict instances of plagiarism.

  • Led the development of the model, and handled all UI/UX design aspects of the product, ensuring a seamless user experience.

SI LEADER & PEER TUTOR

Carnegie Mellon University Student Academic Success Center

  • Tutored courses in Functional Programming, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Concepts & Proofs, and Differential Equations. Led weekly Supplemental Instruction sessions for Linear Algebra and Mathematical Concepts & Proofs, helping students master challenging course material.

Carnegie Mellon University Human-Computer Interaction Institution CoEX Lab

  • Developed a web-based RPG, a serious cybersecurity game designed to foster positive cybersecurity behaviors through transformational game design and self-efficacy principles. Utilized Unity, C#, and Firebase for development.

  • Implemented game logic, behaviors, animations, real-time analytics collection, and mini-games.

  • Conducted playtests and analyzed user perception changes, with preliminary results showing improved cybersecurity attitudes and increased use of expert-recommended tools.

GAME DEVELOP INTERN

Mind & Media

  • Built the mini-golf game for the Cyberattack game using Unity; Learned building e-learning modules.

Carnegie Mellon University

  • Researched pricing and optimal strategies for Passport Options in discrete time under the guidance of Dr. William Hrusa.

  • Developed a Monte Carlo algorithm in Python for pricing and used R for data analysis.

  • Formulated mathematical proofs for pricing and optimal strategies using discrete time stochastic calculus.
